My cousin Hester and her husband David are pregnant with Finn who is due in June. It has become tradition for us to have a big family get-together at my Uncle Stokely and Aunt Sylvia’s house near Columbia, SC. Hester is adorably pregnant and David is humorously acting the part of uninformed dad-to-be. (I don’t believe it for one minute, though!) Alison had a show on the same time in Georgia, so Emma Kate and I drove up and stayed at my parents house. Here are a few pictures from the shower and the rest of the weekend.

Early one evening we went out back to visit the neighbor’s horses. Emma Kate loves to visit them, but we don’t visit them often. On this particular day there happened to be two hot air balloons taking off across the street from us. Emma Kate was soooo excited. What a great day - feeding horses and watching hot air balloons fly over your house!

Alison had a few days off school for spring break, so she decided to take a quick road trip to Lenoir City and Knoxville so that her family could spend some time with Emma Kate.
